We all know how we feel the aromas. Some fragrances make us euphoric, others have a more calming effect, and specific familiar smells can take us back in time and cause a feeling of nostalgia. The psychological and emotional effects of flavor and the extreme importance of our sense of smell are obvious. But did you know that these same scents can also be used to heal your body and create well-being in your life? Aromatherapy is a well-known technique among healers from all over the world and all civilizations.
What do they know not?
As in the case of color therapy, sound healing, crystal healing and energy therapy, the goal of aromatherapy in the framework of healing is to activate the senses of the body. The goal is to eliminate the conditioned, logical and analytical mind, thereby activating the beautiful reality of the “feeling” and experiencing the most empirical and pure form in it. It is in this empirical state that we can destroy the illusions of separation and unite on a level with the energies that surround us. Dr. Richard Gerber, MD, author of Vibrational Medicine, tells us that one of the best ways to change the dysfunctional structures in our energy bodies is to administer therapeutic doses of frequency energy. We do this by using herbs, crystals, sound, and energy, also called vibration medications.
It is also common practice that smell can influence physical and psychological changes in living things. We regularly feel this in our daily life. When we smell a smell, it causes a direct emotion or feeling that makes us happy, excited, calm or even nostalgic. Aromatherapy, practiced for thousands of years, belongs to the ancient Egyptians and the Vedic culture of India, where plant extracts and medicinal plants are still widely used.
The term "aromatherapy" was coined in 1937 by a French perfumer and chemist named RenĂ©-Maurice Gatterfoza. Aromatherapy is a holistic science about using natural plant extracts to balance, harmonize and promote the health of the body, mind and spirit. Thanks to the knowledgeable and controlled use of essential oils, we can achieve physical, emotional health and general well-being. As in other holistic practices, aromatherapy is always used to treat the “whole” person, and not just a symptom or disease. The use of essential oils has historically been celebrated countless times and through various civilizations (Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, etc.) for a variety of health-related applications. Today, thousands of studies of essential oils are conducted. We know that their effectiveness adequately deserves their composition of very small molecules that are able to penetrate deeply and quickly into our cells (transdermal delivery).
The sense of smell is the most neglected of all feelings in humans. This is surprising when we consider that between seventy and seventy-five percent of what we perceive as taste is actually based on our sense of smell. Neurons that sense odor molecules lie deep inside the nasal cavity, in a patch of cells called the olfactory epithelium. To understand how smell is perceived as a human being, it is important to know why the limbic system allows us to perceive different smells differently. The Limbic system is a complex system of nerves and networks in the brain, including several areas near the edge of the cortex associated with our instinct and mood. He also controls our most basic emotions (fear, pleasure, anger) and movement (hunger, sex, domination, care for offspring). A very important aspect of smell is that olfactory neurons constitute the only sensory pathway that is in direct contact with the brain. Due to the close connection with the limbic center, naturally, you can regulate feelings and emotions, as well as memory.
The use and use of Aromatherapy in healing is subject to the same Universal Law that all vibrates at different and specific frequencies. Each atom in the Universe has a specific oscillatory or periodic motion. Most plants (and animals) use enzymes to destroy molecular components during their life processes. And each of these enzymes has a unique crystalline form with a specific vibrational frequency. The frequency of oil oscillations reflects the innate integrity of these elements and the internal enzymes embodied in its substance.
The process of using aromatherapy in therapeutic procedures is the use of vegetable oils with the correct coinciding frequency. Therefore, allowing the physical body to absorb these energy vibrations and return the body to a state of well-being and balance. Essential oils do not resonate with toxins in our bodies; they also do not resonate with negative emotions. This incompatibility is what naturally helps remove toxins and toxic energy from our systems. Aromatherapy, energetically speaking, can help dislodge forgotten injuries as they emerge in our mind. For we are in a state of consciousness that we can collide with, deal with them and let them go. The therapeutic properties of this method create exceptional vibratory means that can heal or rebalance the body / mind / soul / spirit. Essential oils can be regularly used in body oils for massage, facial and body lotions and oils, baths, inhalation, diffusion and energy points on your body.
Simply integrate aromatherapy into everyday life. You do not need to be a master of plants and herbs. Choose a few. Learn about their energy properties. The smell of every oil. How do they feel about you? After you've narrowed down your list and hand picked your favorites, here are some DIY ideas:
- Place a few drops on the cloth and place them in the vents in your car. Enjoy aromatherapy anywhere. You do not need to plan extra time to enjoy the benefits of essential oils.
- You can mix your favorite oils with coconut or jojoba oil (my favorite) and use them instead of regular perfumes.
- Mix the essential oil in distilled water. Then, using a spray bottle, spray it like an air freshener around the house. You can also spray it on your favorite pillows and throw.
Be creative! You are unique!
