When you choose bathroom cabinets, there are so many different styles that you better know what you want before you buy. And we are not talking only about size and color. So what are your preferences?
1. Surface or recessed - As a rule, a bathroom cabinet is installed on the wall surface. This makes it much easier to put up, but it may not seem as pleasant as if it were installed in the wall itself.
2 In the corner or in the middle of the wall - If you have a small bathroom, you may want to install a closet in the corner to save space. Then you can put it in the sink.
3 Mirror or mirrorless - Most bathroom cabinets have a door that doubles as a mirror. This is useful if the cabinet is installed above the sink, so you can use a mirror to shave or apply makeup. Alternatively, you could install your first-aid kit in another place and place a much larger mirror over the sink or vanity.
4. Framed or frameless - For a clean modern look, you can use the bathroom closet, for which the door is actually a mirror, so there is no border around it. Or for a more homely look, you can lower the mirror with a wide frame, usually of wood.
5. Rectangular or oval shape - Traditionally, bathroom cabinets have a rectangular shape, since this style is much simpler and cheaper to manufacture. But many people today prefer a more romantic oval shape, and this is really not all that is more expensive.
6 One or more doors - If you are using mirrored doors and want to enlarge the mirror, one of the ways is to buy a bathroom cabinet with two or more sliding glass doors. Some models now have double hinges or mirrors on both sides of the doors, so you can see your face on each side, as well as the head.
7 Modern style or vintage - If your home decor is modern, there are many bathroom cabinets to choose from that will fit this style. Or, if you prefer an antique or vintage look, you can buy real antiques or carefully modeled reproduction.
