Aetna Medicare offers those who qualify for Medicare in a variety of ways to meet your health insurance needs. Prescription drug plans, Advantage plans, and supplemental insurance are options available through Aetna.
Prescription drug plans are stand-alone plans that can be added to the coverage of parts A and B. Advantage plans offer the same coverage of traditional plans with additional benefits. Additional plans help fill a gap in coverage that can be left in parts A and B. Aetna Medicare offers three prescription drug plans. All three plans include a wide national pharmacy network, predictable discount rates, preferential coverage of Part D essential drugs, guarantees of unexpected changes to your prescription needs, as well as savings and convenient opportunities for the mail order program.
Rx Essentials plan offers all of these basic elements of coverage. The Rx Plus plan offers basics and improved benefits, including no deduction for prescription and general prescription drugs and brand names. Rx Premier offers all coverage in Essentials and Plus plans with additional benefits such as preferred total prescription drug consumption at a break that is unlimited. Aetna Medicare Advantage plans are designed to provide coverage with traditional Medicare Parts A and B plans along with valuable additional benefits. Aetna offers four types of Advantage plans.
The HMO (Health Maintenance Organization) gives you access to a nationwide network of doctors, predictable out-of-pocket expenses, $ 0 pays for more preventive care and more. The PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) Plan offers the advantages of an HMO with the flexibility of choosing service providers for an additional fee.
PFFS (Private Fee For Service) does not have a network of health care providers. You can choose the doctors you see and which hospital you use. Special needs plans are also offered that allow you to cover individual, individual, unique circumstances. For supplemental coverage or Medigap, Aetna Medicare offers plans A, B, and F. These plans help to cover the costs not covered by Medicare Parts A and B.
Some of these costs include deductions, co-insurance, emergency assistance for traveling abroad, a hospital or qualified medical care beyond what is covered by the traditional plan and your three three pints of blood each year. It is important to note that not all additional plans are regulated by the federal and state governments to ensure consumer protection. Not all plans are available in every state.
