“Tears before Exaltation” by Fidelis O. McCara is an unusual literary medical thriller telling the story of a young medical student, Ben Ava.
Having lost both parents, Ben suffers from his losses and tries to complete his education on his own. He is glad to discover that he was awarded a scholarship that requires him to move to Memphis. Although this step forces him to lose his girlfriend, it also means that he will no longer have to work two jobs. Shortly after he arrived, Ben discovers that his old friend and classmate, Brenda, with whom he had once been close, received the same scholarship. Ben learns that Brenda suffers from serious emotional problems and, forcing him to share with her retinue, quickly realizes that she despises him. Ben is also alarmed when he realizes that the doctors who led his education are pompous and selfish. One doctor follows Ben because he is interested in Ben Rita's latest romantic interest.
For someone who is trying to survive in medical school, Ben has many other problems on his hands. He is particularly struck by the women in his life who suffer from the emotional damage caused by family members who betrayed them when they were young. Using compassion and determination, Ben does his best to help them heal and move his life forward, continuing to pursue his own dream.
“Tears Before Exaltation” is an amazing literary drama involving key elements such as romance, uncertainty and psychological intrigue. The author immediately caught my attention by creating a handsome, compassionate hero who rules his life, acting honestly. He is surrounded by several key players who do not share his ethical standards. The hero is often because the people around him are damaged by what happened in their past. While Ben comes from a normal, loving upbringing, he still has the ability to try to understand and help his friends. It is interesting to observe how his character develops and develops through the story. Other characters in the story are well developed, and most of them are not always liked. This aspect adds even more to the drama, because they rarely act in such a way as to help improve the hero's life.
The letter is modern and compassionate, solving very important social issues such as mental illness, including alcoholism and depression. This story has a fascinating pace, which makes it difficult to shoot down with curves and excitement that will leave you wanting more.
Readers who love intrigue, drama and romance, fall into the medical field, will quickly be in this novel. I highly recommend Fidelis O. McCar's Tears before Exaltation!
