Caribbean medical schools have long been the butt of jokes, but their graduates are those who last laugh. There are thousands of licensed doctors from Caribbean schools practicing throughout the country. More than 25% of all doctors in the United States come from international schools. Do you know where your attending physician entered medical school? This is an area that is expected to be dominated by Caribbean graduates with a large percentage of training for graduates in the field of internal and family medicine. They are expected to fill the nationwide shortage that is currently occupied by medical assistants and practicing nurses.

Submit it. A 17-year-old high school graduate entered the undergraduate program at the University of Caribbean. Schools will automatically enroll students in their medical programs if they support a specific GPA in a preliminary program. This means that there is no need to take the MCAT so that you can save your head from preparing for this. The program ends in 2 years, and the student enters the first year of the medical training program at 19 years old.

Numerous Caribbean schools offer an accelerated curriculum that divides the year into trimesters. Students attend school year round and can complete their medical doctor in less than 36 months. Not to mention that you only spend 18 months on the island. Clinical years are taught along with an American medical student in US hospitals. St. George Medical School has a hospital affiliation appropriate for any school in the United States. Our fictional graduate graduates with their doctoral thesis at the age of 22 (23).

Our new graduate has the right to practice in any state in the country while he was studying in one of the Big Four Caribbean medical schools (University of St. George, University of Saba, University of Ross and American University of the Caribbean), so we have a trained doctor in the hospital, ready for exams, licenses, and classes for 25 years. Not exactly Doogie Howser, but at least it's impressive.

In many schools during the year there are several different periods of time that provide flexibility for students who want to immediately begin medical education.

There is a risk associated with attending medical school abroad, but there are thousands of people who have traced the trail in front of you and created a precedent. Caribbean medical schools produce capable physicians and provide an inherent need for the US healthcare system.
