 Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) -2

Conjugated linoleic acid, otherwise known as CLA, is an omega-6 essential fatty acid meaning that the body cannot do. However, its importance cannot be missed because it participates in many biochemical reactions that occur in the body.

Like many other supplements, CLA is widely studied as an agent for weight loss. This is important for bodybuilders, as well as for other exercise lovers, as it can also prevent catabolic effects caused by intense exercise.

What does this mean for the average American who is overweight? Well, research in the Journal of Nutrition has shown that obese people who receive CLA reduce body fat. Accordingly, it was shown that reducing the amount of adipose tissue in the body and, possibly, preserving muscle tissue.

So what is the optimal dose? Good question. Studies have been performed with 1.7 grams and up to 6.8 grams per day in divided doses. The last study was conducted in Scandinavian clinical studies in Norway. The results showed a decrease in body weight from 3.4 grams per day, whereas the group with the highest dose of 6.8 grams also experienced a slight increase in the weight of meat. The brand that was used in this particular study was Tonalin.

This is really encouraging news, not only for athletes, bodybuilders and enthusiasts, but also for obese people who are looking for another way to help in their fat reduction program.

My advice? Train hard and smart! Add a 1 gram capsule of CLA with three meals.
