What funds have you built in the past? I built a family, a business, a career in writing, an entire consulting career, based on the fact that I wanted to get there on my own terms. No one made a decision for me, I just went for it (so to speak)
In spite of the fact that I went for it, there was some ground work that had to be completed before the final task could be done. You do not want to wear your shoes first, and then your sock. It would be a little uncomfortable. However, I could wear socks and not pull them out completely before putting on a shoe. The fact is that although it may be a little awkward to have wrinkled socks, I can still wear a shoe and take a walk. Yes, I most likely get a few blisters, but I will move in the right direction, and I will still get to my goal.
So what makes the foundation for all this? You can plan your foundation and choose what needs to be in place to keep everything in place. The harder the foundation, the less likely you are to finish later. You can build a foundation strong enough to move. You do not want to spend all your time on planning and hope that you will “someday” get away with creating your business or your wealth.
Build what you need and then move. If you need to go back and reinforce something, then make sure that these parts are reinforced. If something cannot be strengthened, then it must be one of the things that you do to perfection. Nothing is perfect, but building a foundation in the sand does not work either. Find the middle road and place the necessary pieces in place, then if you need to go back and pick up other parts, you can. Do not wallow in inertia, because your foundation is not completed. Just analyze what you need and take care of the rest of the building.
