Recent studies show that nearly 80 million adults in the United States suffer from high blood pressure. This is almost 1/3 of our population. And when you ask most general practitioners what causes high blood pressure,
Here are some of the answers you can expect:
· Tobacco smoking
· Consumption of excess caffeine
· Drinking excess alcohol
· Excessive weight or obesity
· Limited physical activity (couch)
· Excessive salt in your diet
· Living a stressful lifestyle
· High cholesterol
· Old age
· Factors of heredity
· Kidney disease or adrenal and thyroid problems
In other words, high blood pressure or hypertension can be caused by all of the above or none of the above. If your doctor is completely honest with you, he may even say: "I do not know."
What is hypertension?
Briefly described, hypertension is described as the pressure performed against the walls of your hands. The force that occurs when blood is pumped forward is known as systolic pressure, while diastolic pressure is lower, relaxed pressure. When measured with a tool known as a sphygmomanometer, a higher pressure (systolic) should be about 120 or lower, and a lower pressure (diastolic) should be about 80 or lower (these readings are millimeters of mercury). So 120/80 (120 over 80) is considered normal.
Don, you have hypertension
My introduction appeared about 46 years ago. During the insurance business, Dr. Rod said: "Don, you have hypertensive blood pressure."
"What, what?" I answered. “I'm only 30 years old!”
Thus began an odyssey or experiments to find out which prescription drug regimen would control what became known as The Silent Killer. I lost the information about how many different drugs different doctors prescribed for me. My drug cocktails included over time: diuretics. Calcium channel blockers and ace inhibitors. More than four decades of “treatment”, the doctor has referred to any other means of controlling this condition using natural methods.
Follow the money
So why do doctors not offer treatments other than prescription drugs? Well follow the money. High blood pressure treatment is a multi-billion dollar business for doctors and pharmaceutical companies.
And in fact, the root cause of hypertension (regardless of what it is) is not treated - drugs purely treat the symptoms and do not give you a cure.
What are natural medicines?
Yes ... research continues, but the overwhelming goal of this research is aimed at finding new, more effective drugs. Very few health professionals direct their energy to natural medicines.
So why don't I accept the inevitable? Why not just shut up and take my medicine. Well, people, I also participated in some specific studies, and what I discovered so far has been very useful.
Is this a lack of learning?
Firstly, most of today's doctors have never been given real training in natural methods of treating conditions and diseases in high school. Drugs are the only way to achieve freedom from what worries us. But only a fool would agree with this reasoning. I have been on drugs for almost half a century - so where is my treatment? I assure you, these are not drugs.
I began my research because I heard a noise from highly educated researchers that the side effects of many prescription drugs simply made me handle other problems. In short, bloody medications, I felt sick. On top of that, I was diagnosed with high cholesterol about 19 years ago and until a few months ago I was taking a statin drug. From my own research, I learned that statins cause even more health problems than high blood pressure medications.
Here is a brief overview of the side effects of the drug:
Blood Pressure Treatment -
Diuretics: Used to eliminate water and salt with frequent urination, erectile dysfunction, a noticeable decrease in potassium (a very necessary mineral for good health), foot and leg cramps, general weakness, or you are easily tired.
Beta blockers: These drugs slow down the heart rate and reduce the pressure exerted on the poor circulation of blood in the arteries, leading to cold hands and feet, depression, erectile dysfunction, asthmatic symptoms, and bad behavior habits.
ACE Inhibitors (Angiotensin converting enzymes): skin rash, loss of ability to try most products, persistent hacker cough.
Cholesterol Medicines-
Statins: Prescribed for lowering cholesterol in the blood - headaches, sleep disorders, frequent cramps, muscle aches, skin redness, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, constipation, memory loss, elevated blood sugar levels (prediabetes threat), mental confusion.
Now imagine if you want what kind of lifestyle a person will have if he takes all of the above? It was just recently.
Now, don't get me wrong - I'm not suggesting that you dump all your blood pressure and anti-cholesterol drugs down the drain. Do not stop taking these drugs until you discuss this with your doctor.
Is the treatment worse than the condition?
The point I'm trying to do here is that there are better and safer ways to lower blood pressure and lower cholesterol using natural methods.
I subscribe to several health-related newsletters, and little by little I grew up in my knowledge of what natural methods helped countless around the world. I really had to deeply understand this information, because most health organizations do not want to take on major drug manufacturers. Current literature tells me that many people are simply mistakenly diagnosed with high blood pressure. This is often due to the fact that health personnel incorrectly take your blood pressure and / or you may suffer from white coat syndrome.
Restart your brain using a focused break.
One newsletter says that your high blood pressure can be controlled with diet and simple exercises. The theory here is to “reset” your brain, not to be deceived, to think that it takes more blood pressure to overcome the messages it receives from your internal organs. This method is based on the discovery, which shows how to change the brain up and down the regulation of blood pressure. This means giving your brain the so-called “Focused Break”. This action is based on meditation, conscious thought and some simple exercises, and this results in blood pressure falling to a more healthy level. There are several ways to do this, but it is best to use special mind / body exercises, which were set out in a special report. I will show you how to access this information below.
What is White Coat Hypertension?
A study by Duke University confirms the “white coat effect”; The value of controlling blood pressure at home
“People with hypertension often experience a surge in blood pressure when reading is done in the doctor’s office, leaving doctors with inaccurate information to determine the course of treatment, according to researchers at Duke University Medical Center and the Durham Medical Center veterans.
Herzog researchers now recommend that regular blood pressure testing be much more accurate when performed at home. Here are some tips for getting more accurate blood pressure numbers:
· Stay alone for 5-10 minutes before taking your own readings.
· Blood pressure cuff should be properly placed, preferably on the left hand
· The hand should be comfortably supported - as on the arm of the chair.
Some researchers suggest taking your pressure reading 3 times a day. I think this is too much, my wife and I read our readings once or twice a week. We have a digital sphygmomanometer that runs on battery. Press one button to turn it on, and then press another button to automatically inflate the cuff and take readings. Our device also has a memory function to show previous readings.
