Dumping syndrome cannot be prevented. However, measures such as dietary adjustments can prevent the recurrence of symptoms and minimize their severity. People affected by this condition are advised to eat less food, avoid liquids while eating, reduce the carbohydrate content of food, use low-fat methods, and avoid acidic foods.
