There is much evidence that hypnosis loading and personal hypnosis sessions are effective treatments for a wide range of conditions. As a doctor, I can, for most people, lower blood pressure, make my mouth dry (or full of saliva), make one hand warm and the other cold. In fact, of course, I can demonstrate that most subjects, in fact, are capable of voluntary control over a wide range of physiological processes that are not usually considered to be under conscious control.
Then it is easy to understand one of the mechanisms by which hypnosis arises. Anxiety for many is perceived changes in automatic processes, such as pulse and respiration rate, sweating and tremor, which nourish and accelerate developing anxiety. Hypnosis downloads or personal hypnosis sessions are used to control and modify these physiological responses in the safety of a hypnotic trance. The links between the stressor and the normal physiological response (as developed in hypnosis) can then be used to supplant the original aberrant connection between the stressor and abnormal anxiety with a more balanced and adequate response.
For some additional treatment methods (such as homeopathy) there is still no scientific evidence that any actual pharmacodynamic (medicinal) effect is possible, and yet for many, the use of homeopathy, for example, is associated with relaxation, pain relief and other beneficial effects. . How is this possible? Most, if not all. Therapists have one thing in common: they very much rely on the user in the effectiveness of treatment, as well as on the confidence and expectation of a successful exit. This is a powerful mechanism that should not be underestimated. Numerous studies, a very well-planned randomized double-blind construct (where either the subject or the scientist knows whether this treatment is “real” or “true”) clearly demonstrated our ability to generate, for example, pain relief equal to that offered by the opiates. , simply assuming that the pill or “dropper” contains an opiate (when it actually contains no active ingredient). Hypnosis and hypnosis are loaded into this mechanism for getting results. I suppose it doesn't matter if the belief mechanism is generated by hypnosis or someone who convinced you that he drank a small glass of “special” water will produce an effect: if faith is strong enough, it will produce an effect.
When I was in the psychology department of London College, the head of the department appeared on special channel 4, where appendectomy (removal of the application) was conducted live using only hypnosis as an anesthetic (and postoperative painkiller). At the end of the operation, the patient sat down, retreated from the working couch and went through the studio (after which he felt good and painless) to embrace his mother! This is the power of hypnosis.
However, having said all this, it is important to remember that hypnotherapy is not intended to replace the current majority of drugs or in any way disproves its effectiveness. You may decide to use hypnotherapy using only hypnosis, and this is a personal and private choice that any man or woman can make, but it is not our right as therapists to make decisions for the client. We can only advise. Me? I believe that hypnosis is a great addition to modern medicine. We tend to tend to ignore the fact that hypnosis has been used for hundreds of years by healthcare professionals.
The word alternative (I prefer for free) suggests that we are trying to find another way to solve problems, it is not. We simply use our abilities to use our natural abilities.
