If you looked into what you need to become a medical assistant, you clearly saw references to certification of any form. You may ask yourself if I really need to spend time and energy to become certified. There are two answers to this. From a legal point of view, you can work as a medical assistant without certification. There are no states that require you to be licensed or certified.
