Practice and specialty family doctor -2

Of all the medical specialties currently known, few offer such a diverse and varied career as a family doctor. Family medicine is a recognized medical specialty that focuses on providing comprehensive medical care to people of all ages, regardless of the condition of the person or the part of the body where the problem lies. This medical specialty is aimed at providing treatment to patients in the context of a family and community broadcaster, as well as providing treatment, preventive medicine and permanent care.

A family doctor must fulfill the same requirements as practitioners in other medical specialties. They must graduate from college, pass the medical college entrance exam (MCAT) and graduate from medical school. After they complete this final step, aspiring general practitioners must complete a three-year reserve in an accredited program in the United States. Sustainability will include rotation in geriatrics, pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, internal medicine, and psychiatry, as well as allowing those who want to specialize in general practice to gain knowledge in various fields.

Then beginner general practitioners will have the right to sit at the certification board. After the family doctor is officially certified, he or she will need to be certified by fulfilling a series of requirements for continuing medical education. This will require a review of medical knowledge, patient care, practice-based training, and a re-certification every 7-10 years.

However, these doctors did not always have the opportunity to become certified. This medical area was not recognized as an official medical specialty until 1969. Until 1969, the general practitioner had only to graduate from a medical school and undergo an internship for one year. However, some practitioners in the specialty realized that a short-term internship was not enough to transfer the necessary knowledge and training, which led to the creation of a certification exam and officially turned this area of medicine into a well-known medical specialty.

Most general practitioners work in solo or small groups that can be located anywhere from a small city to a large city. In small towns there can be only one family doctor who will be the only doctor for the whole city. This gives the practitioner a great opportunity to truly get to know his patients. A practitioner can treat several generations of the same family if he or she works in a small community for a long time.

Although a general practitioner usually works directly with patients, the profession is quite diverse, and other career paths are possible. Some work in the field of education, while others work in emergency medical care, emergency medicine or health care, while others work as consultants in various medical institutions or insurance companies.
