Our doctors in the 21st century are advancing using the latest technology and mobile phones to better and quickly support the patient. The assistants to the assistant of these smart people are to help the doctor better cope with the results of the patients. Doctors reincarnate in dealing with patients, and not for a reward for their appreciation thanks to the new technique and skills than expensive tests and procedures.
And yes, medical schools are currently adapting new skills to train incoming doctors through a new core curriculum or through professional promotion.
Nevertheless, many doctors from the 21st century want them to find out or have this desire for something else besides their trainings, which could help them in changing. Here are my best collections of skills that they would like to learn in their medical schools.
Data Science
Medicine is increasingly dependent on data. New e-patient systems (EPR) and digital digitization of data with a decent integrated technology infrastructure, including secure networks, e-mail and IT professionals in hospital wards, store large data on patient numbers, medical history and much more. Better understanding of these data and statistics helps to understand the disease and improve the treatment of doctors. This is one of my best solutions for the EPR system, since the overall integrated technology infrastructure has already begun, and the data is not yet fully synchronized.
Information Technology
Many online applications and websites provide the ability to directly advise patients. In general, elderly doctors who have not had the opportunity to learn basic computer skills, tend to use this experience to improve their practice. Some basics, such as word processing or shortcuts, will contribute to their work much better.
Nutrition and disease prevention
Many doctors want more courses on nutrition and disease prevention while they are in their residence. Today, people are more self-confident and take care of their health. Patients seek and expect nutrition and fitness counseling from their doctors. Lifestyle choices are one of the driving forces for health, which is causing new changes in diseases and illnesses. Therefore, physicians need more nutrition and exercise instructions to provide advice to their patients.
Ultrasound training
Ultrasound technology is now portable and compatible with mobile devices. Many doctors are looking for remedial training for ultrasound imaging on their own.
Communication and empathy
The most successful treatment has an effective connection between doctors and their patients. This means that both parties understand what others have to say and are satisfied with the response. This process represents a lot of insight into indications and confidence in waiting, which can only happen if the doctor has empathy for the patient's problem. Doctors want to learn emotional intelligence in order to succeed in treating patients.
Management and Leadership
Many doctors grow to many career options. They often occupy leadership positions to lead junior teams and coordinate work with teams, nurses and assistants. Many doctors want to study or conduct training for basic management skills, such as collaboration, project and journal management for daily work.
Personal finance
Doctors want to know how they can manage their finances, since most of them graduates have huge medical debts. They want to have some kind of formal education in money management and the risk of drowning debt.
