Branding does not only mean consistency, it means that you must make an effort to make sure that you pay attention to the details.
Before you begin your journey to create a brand, here are some elements that make up a brand:
logo
Business cards
fonts
Colors
Brochures
Email Signatures
Voice mail
Customer interaction
Music on the phone or in other places
Branding is the definition of your company, products and services in a way that distinguishes you from your competitors. It also creates customer perceptions about you and your company through the experience and promise of the goods that will be delivered.
Brands are what separates you from your business. Although businesses deal with people, people in organizations often change. This is the brand that remains. When you buy software from Microsoft, you do not buy software from George Turner on the street, you buy a brand that provides your preconceived mental picture of this company.
One of the most difficult things is to distinguish yourself from your brand. People buy brands, although the transaction can be through you. Brands can stand alone. From my own experience, my brand Drawings for success in the book industry, now stands alone. I do not need to be the only author, I can now promote the brand, and not myself. A brand takes on life when you agree with everything you do. It is the consistency in your marketing and sales that imprints this brand in the minds of the consumer, whether it's business for business or business.
