The Most Delicious Home Cough Repellent - Honey -2

Looking for a home cough remedy? The one that is natural and sometimes easy to descend? Consider the sweet liquid from nature - pure honey.

Now, when you suffer from a disease, such as cold, sore throat or fever, I am sure at some point you wondered and asked what was going on in your body, what went wrong and causes these symptoms of discomfort .. .

An extremely common disease that we all probably experienced before, coughing is a vital function of the body and can be technically defined as an involuntary reflex signaled and caused by our brain to clear a blockage or irritant (eg, sputum, cigarette smoke, sharp gas, dust, etc.) from the air passage. What is visible or audible to us when this happens is the sudden displacement of air from the lungs, which helps clear the airways very quickly.

When you complain that you have a cough, doctors or pharmacists often prefer to ask this question: is it harsh or dry? A cough or cough is characterized by mucus or sputum on the chest, whereas with a dry cough, when the throat and upper airways are swollen or irritated, no sputum is produced or displaced. In some cases, the cough may be rough, but not productive. This happens when sputum is not free enough to be taken.

Many smokers may have a persistent dry cough in their life. A cough caused by a viral infection, such as the flu or cold, usually disappears within two weeks; if not, it may be a sign of a more serious problem, and an x-ray may be required to diagnose the problem. Persistent or chronic coughing can be caused by irritating environmental factors or even stress (this cough disappears during sleep), but it can also be a sign of a viral infection, such as bronchitis or pneumonia, where antibiotic medication is required. Signs and symptoms indicating an infection include fever, chills, body aches, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, headache, sinus pressure, runny nose, and night sweats. When a cough is a warning sign of underestimating lung cancer or air passage, other symptoms may be present, including worsening fatigue, loss of appetite, weight loss, or a decrease in the ability to swallow solid or liquid foods.

OTC cough syrups are readily available for minor cough. In the treatment of cough, there are two main objectives: one is to suppress the reflex of treatment, especially when the cough causes pain or affects sleep; the other is thin mucus, which facilitates rearing and cleansing from the body. It is useful for drinking plenty of water, warm broth, tea, and room-temperature fruit or vegetable juices to help reduce and loosen mucus.

I notice that homemade cough remedy can vary greatly in different cultures. There is obviously an interesting set of cough treatment recipes, but you may not be very comfortable with some of them depending on what beliefs you grow (for example, the concept of “heat and cooling products” that I tend to believe in). Here I would mention a few that use honey, one of nature’s most valuable gifts:

1. Mix an equal amount of honey and lemon grass juice, then drink to reduce cough.

2. Mix the consistency of 1/4 teaspoonful of cayenne pepper syrup, 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, 2 tablespoons of water, mix and drink.

3. Boil some water with 2 cloves of garlic, 1 tablespoon of oregano. Pour into a cup, add 1 tablespoon of honey and drink.

4. Make lemon and honey. Active honey and Manuka propolis are commonly used as home remedies for coughing because of their strong anti-bacterial properties.

Some researchers believe that honey, a traditional, natural home remedy for cough, may offer a “safe and legal alternative” to dextromethorphan (DM), which can sometimes cause serious side effects in children, including muscle contractions and cramps. The study (2007) of researchers from the State Medical College of Pennsylvania, USA, included 105 children with cough from ages 2 to 18. At bedtime, children received artificial honey aromatic cough syrup, buckwheat honey, or nothing at all. The results showed that parents of children who received honey appreciated the sleep and symptoms of their children as better! The ability of honey as a home remedy for cough can be caused by how it calms down on contact and stimulates saliva. However, note that honey should not be given to children under 1 year old due to the rare but serious risk of botulism.
