 Water-Pillar Health -2

Water is the main pillar of health. He participates in all the functions of our body. When we drink water, we retain our five vital organs, hydrated and ready for action: the brain, heart, lungs and kidneys. As a result, these bodies will work properly, and other bodies can work properly, and we can lead a healthier life.

When we do not drink enough water, our body suffers. Many health problems can be reduced simply by drinking good water. If your joints are sore and have arthritis, perhaps all you need to do is drink more water. You see, the cartilage in your joints consists of 80% of water, and it may just be that they are not sufficiently hydrated. If you have high blood pressure, perhaps your body sends you a signal that you need more water because your blood vessels are narrowing. Dr. Colbert says that many of his patients have lowered blood pressure simply by drinking enough water. So do you have digestive problems? Water stores digestive juices and helps the body create all the acid needed to kill the H. Plyori bacteria that cause ulcers and improve digestion. So, perhaps all you need to do to make your digestive system smoother is to drink more water.

HOW MUCH should we have?

Here is a simple formula that Dr. Don Colbert, author of the book The Seven Pillars of Health, gives us: Just divide your weight in pounds by two. Here is how much water you should drink every day. So, if you are 120 pounds, you should have 60 ounces of water; if you weigh 200 pounds, you should have 100 ounces. However, this does not mean that you should drink it all. When you eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, you also supply your body with fluids, as they consist mainly of water. Depending on the amount of fruits and vegetables you eat during the day, you can add up to half a quart or even a quart of the daily liquid you need.

Can I Drink Too Much Water?

The answer is "yes." My brother and sister-in-law told me that there was a girl on TV who was holding some kind of competition with her friends to find out who could drink more water before going to the bathroom. Well, this girl who won the competition has lost her life! Can you imagine? So much for more water is better!

The reason for her death was probably the fact that her body was depleted from potassium and electrolyte levels because she drank too much water. When we drink excessive amounts of water, we can get a condition called psychogenic polydipsia, which causes the levels of potassium and electrolyte to become dangerously low. This could lead to your death. Usually we do not drink a lot of water, but I just want to inform you about the consequences if you do this, because some people always think that it is better when MODERATION is always the key.

WHEN should we drink water?

Well, contrary to normal belief, it should not be mainly while eating At this time you should only have 4-8 ounces and make sure that the temperature in the room. Any drink that is very cold or has ice makes it difficult for your body to digest your food.

Dr. Colbert suggests in his book, The Seven Pillars of Health, that we should drink most of our fluids two hours after meals and up to 30 minutes before meals. You do not need to get all your fluids out of the water. As I said, there are a lot of fruits and vegetables that can count up to 1 quart of fluid, so this means that if you need 4 quarts of fluid a day, you can do it with just 3 quarts of plain water or tea or other drinks that not very tall or filled with caffeine. Coffee is considered if you have no more than 2 cups per day.

Is all water equal?

No. Water is better than others. It used to be that here in the USA we could drink tap water, and that was good for us. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. It has a lot of pollutants that municipal treatments can either detect or remove from the water supply, even though the EPA checks the water daily.

Not only are there chemicals and microbes in tap water, but unfortunately, the things that introduce it to help “purify” water are dangerous for us. Some cities are placed in chlorine to kill microorganisms; however, chlorinated water is associated with congenital defects and spina bifida. Chlorinated water can also destroy the nutrients our body needs: vitamins A, B, C, and E and fatty acids. This water also causes chronic skin diseases such as acne, psoriasis and eczema. When you take a shower in chlorinated water, it causes your hair to become fragile and your skin dries out.

Another addition to tap water is fluoride , although fluoride is toxic. Dr. Charles Gordon, former president of the American Medical Association, says: "Fluoride is a poisonous poison that will have a major impact on a long-term basis."

Another element that I want to talk about is added to the water. aluminum. Aluminum is associated with Alzheimer's disease.

To remove chemicals from tap water, it is important to get a good filtration system. it will do it. Tap water is good to water the lawn and flush the toilet, but it is not good to drink. The best water filters are alkaline water filters. Your body is trembling in an alkaline environment. because it is able to detoxify much more effectively than in an acidic environment.

Some bottled waters are also alkaline, but not all of them. Make sure that when you drink bottled water, you buy alkaline ones like Evamor, Abita and Arrowhead. Dr. Colbert says that the best bottled water is called Penta Water, and you can get to the health store near you.

So, keep water but don't drink too much ! Use a simple formula to calculate how much you should have and aim for that amount. Make sure you eat a lot of fruit and veggies too - those that count towards your daily “water” take =)

Live healthy! Drink water instead of soda, diet soda, juice and milk; it's best to quench your thirst =) But make sure you drink most of your water between meals, and not with meals.
