The other day I received an email from someone who searched the phone lists and the Internet, high and low, for a Medifast clinic or store near her city so she could buy some of the products. She, in particular, wrote: “Maybe I don’t look in the right places, but I just can’t find a retailer or a Medifast retailer near me.” Her experience is not so rare. I received many similar emails from others. In the next article I will explain why (if you don’t live in one of the few states that have these clinics), it’s probably best for you to order products directly from the company.
People in the following states can buy Medifast locally: As I mentioned earlier, in the United States there are only a few states (which I can find) that have Medifast clinics. These are: Maryland; California; Texas; Florida; Arizona; Georgia; and South Carolina. Some of these states have several centers (for example, Texas and California), and some of them have only a few (for example, Florida).
Cities with clinics or centers: For example, in greater Texas there are centers in Addison, Arlington, Allen, Bedford, Ft. Worth, Garland, Highland Village, Irving, North Richland Hills and Plano. There are also many shops in the Houston area itself. Examples include Atascocita, Cinco Ranch, Spring, Sugarland, Pearland, Webster and The Woodlands. In the Austin area, there are clinics in Cedar Park, Round Rock and Sunset Valley.
California has centers in San Ramon, Rancho Carmel, El Cajon, Encinitas and San Marcus. Arizona is probably the next highest state in terms of the presence of a center with three. They are located in Phoenix, Gilbert and Glendale.
Maryland (Bel-Air, Peaksville), Florida (Orlando and Altamone Springs), South Carolina (Greenville, Easley) and Georgia (Warner Robins, Albany) have two clinics each, as far as I can tell.
Order Medifast Online: If you like many people who do not have a local center, it’s very easy to order products online. Company website is very user friendly. Each type of food is separately highlighted by a list of options, prices, tastes, and nutritional information. The company sells products both individually and as a monthly package. Going with a package is much cheaper in the long run, because the cost of food is reduced by a lot. And, it’s tiring to figure out how many individual product packages you will need if you are on a full-time diet (they want you to eat five of the company's products per day for better results.)
In exchange for buying a monthly package, they often offer you very generous coupons, special promotions or incentives, such as free meals for a few weeks. In addition, they often give up free delivery, and it takes only a few days to receive your order, so it just does not make sense to spend a lot of gas and, perhaps, a lot of your weekend and free time for one of the few and far between centers.
