Wives Tales and Painful Throats of Protection - Fact or Fiction?-2

Good. You're lying in bed, afraid to walk, because the throat is burning. You can also have a big lump in your throat and is difficult to swallow. Perhaps you are all stuffed, and nasal drainage in the throat makes it soggy. All this sore throat. If you have them, then I want you to know that I entered the archives of my mother and granny, pulled out old stories about my wife and other means for your sore throat.

Solution 1: Honey and Lemon

This sedative is an old one that is not so much a fairy tale. In fact, our family doctor just prescribed it for my 8-year-old child, who had a sore throat and cough. The trick to this is the antioxidants in lemon and the soothing ability of honey to cover the throat. It really works. Here is the prescription:

• 1 glass of warm water

• 2 tablespoons of pure lemon juice

• 1 teaspoon honey

Solution 2: Rinsing with salt

My mother was a registered nurse, and whenever I had a sore throat, she would take out salt and a glass of water and mix them. I could swear it was a 50/50 mixture of salt and water, but I’m sure it’s not. Everything I remember was an uncontrollable gag reflex when I tried to rinse the mixture. One way or another, it worked. What for? Salt is an antiseptic, and rinsing with it is mixed with water, helps to kill bacteria in the throat, causing pain. This is not a cure, but it helps.

Solution 3: Cocktail Track

This is for those familiar with nutritional supplements. Basically what I mean by tickle cocktail. “Tickling” in the phrase refers to the feeling that you get in the back of your throat when you know that you are going off with something. The moment you feel this feeling, this is what you are doing. You need to take 3 extra mixture: garlic, vitamin C and echinacea. Take them 3 times a day right away when you feel a tickle in the back of your throat.

Solution 4: Little Cognac (A Toddy) every night before bed.

Obviously, this is for adults only. I think this is one of the women's fairy tales. My grandmother came to grandfather's grandfather every night. She claimed that he had a cold and a sore throat. I'm not sure about that, but it definitely made his nose red. In any case, I like to enjoy this little fairy tale for obvious reasons.

Solution 5: gargle with vinegar

I'm not sure about that, but there are people who swear by this tool. All you need to do is search on the Internet. Basically, all you have to do with this is to mix about 3 tablespoons of vinegar in water and rinse it with a tablespoon at a time. This tool has an additional advantage. If your malaise is associated with tonsil stones, the vinegar in the solution works to dissolve the calcium that forms the tonsil stones. If you are not sure what it is, they calcify the deposits around your tonsils, which can cause bad breath and sore throat.

Therefore, if you have a sore throat, I hope that I can give you some ideas that your mother will be happy to accept for them - and yes, they really work.
