Try to familiarize yourself with the birth control choices that women have, and you can easily get at least a dozen different types - they are all tested, distributed and accepted. Fertility studies for men on the other hand, and you come up with exactly two kinds - the snip-snip method and the use of a condom. All this will change soon. Researchers have come up with all the new options for birth control for men. Soon the men will suffer because of the method used the same way as women.
Let's start with a method that we already know (and fear) quite well: a vasectomy. What's new in tomorrow's vasectomy is that it will be a reversible thing. In fact, it will not be a vasectomy. They simply insert the stubs in great respect so that the sperm does not move through the pipes. Every time a man decides that he wants his father's children, he can simply go for a simple procedure to remove the plug, and he will again be like new. They tested all of this on laboratory animals, and until now everything looks quite promising.
Researchers at the University of Washington have come up with something similar to the fact that it does not belong to the list of birth control methods for men, but to what women will use. This was announced four years ago at the conference "The Future of Male Contraception". What they do is they give you progestin injections every three months; and then they gave you testosterone gel every day. Although they say that it works very well in a clinical setting, there is one small problem: for some reason, men hate this experience.
Have you ever wondered why birth control options for men cannot include a simple pill, which they can appear just like women (and face it, women who go through the hormone hell with daily pills often want made a pill for men so that they could get a taste of their medicine)? Now men have such a choice - except for the fact that it will not be hormonal. This is a pill that scientists at Columbia University have found very well in laboratory rats. Will this work with real rats - um - men? Stay tuned for more information in the near future.
And finally, they found that there are certain drugs for certain diseases that you can take, which have the effect of simply cutting off any sperm when the man orgasms. This is a fairly simple equation - if there is no sperm, how can pregnancy be? The best part - the effects of the drug wear out every other day.
