Medical laboratories are more important today than ever before. Medical adventures often occur in research laboratories, because this happens when experiments occur, and clinical medical laboratories are even more important. Clinical medical laboratories are regularly used to carry out a variety of medical research, which is common, although it is not practical to fit into an actual doctor’s office or clinic. Laboratory medicine is usually divided into three sections. Then it is divided into several units. Laboratory medicine is usually considered in these sections:

Anatomical pathology. Academically, each unit is studied one in one course. Other courses related to this section include anatomy, physiology, histology, pathology, and pathophysiology.

Clinical Microbiology. This is the largest section in laboratory medicine; it covers five different units - bacteriology, virology, parasitology, immunology and mycology.

Clinical biochemistry. The units under this busy section are instrumental analysis, enzymology, toxicology and endocrinology.

Hematology. This small, but busy section consists of two units, which are coagulation and a blood bank.

Genetics is also a new and growing sector that may be the most important in the future.

Clinical medical laboratories are usually attached to hospitals and work exclusively with hospital patients or are private operations that receive laboratory work from private doctors, insurance companies, lawyers and other medical clinics. The actual distribution of sections in a medical laboratory depends on the laboratory and the type of experiments and the main types of work in which the laboratory participates. For example, some medical facilities will have a laboratory exclusively for microbiology, while others may have different laboratories dealing with microbiology and various departments in it.

Medical laboratories are a huge consumer of medical supplies and consumables. Laboratories receive samples in special containers. Most of the medical analysis that takes place in laboratories is automated. Sometimes samples are processed by automation to avoid human error or contamination. Laboratories are usually loaded from 2 to 10 o'clock when the hospital ends in bloodshed. After 3 hours, when the working day of the most private doctor finishes, many samples are delivered to clinical laboratories, and they become occupied again. Clinical medical laboratories are an integral part of modern medical diagnostics and treatment. More advanced diagnostic technology has increased the need for minute measurements and analysis for proper diagnosis and treatment to be prescribed.

For example, in the simple case of a person being watched by a doctor with high blood pressure or an irregular pulse, a whole series of blood tests may be performed to give the professional and the patient an idea of ​​what may cause an increased reading. Just a few years ago such testing would be incredibly expensive, modern advances have proven useful and economical. In addition, after conducting a laboratory test and identifying the problem of such high cholesterol, many other tests can be performed in non-laboratory conditions.

Due to the success of medical laboratories to improve efficiency and accuracy, several testing technologies have been developed, which previously could only be done in laboratories to be conducted at home or in the clinic itself. Almost instant results of cholesterol, insulin and illegal substance-related analysis are currently available. Even taking home cancer and testing for HIV is now available in the consumer market. But these tests did not disprove the importance of the medical laboratory and in fact seem to have made the laboratory even more important, as it is sometimes unclear which tests need to be entered directly into the laboratory that it created at home or in clinical trials.

In the future, with the growth of genetic medicine, medical laboratories engaged in genetic testing will become more important, while the basic operations of currently existing laboratories will remain similar, testing may focus more on the genetic code than on biochemistry and pathogens. Despite this, the clinical medical laboratory will remain an important part of medical diagnosis and treatment.
