Let it be said that Life is a pond. Every drop is a special entity, person or event, sending waves of influence into a pond that ever collide with other waves. Each time a wave interacts with another wave, it changes both waves. These modified waves interact with other modified waves, and both of them change again. Sometimes all the waves interacted and influenced each other. At this stage, they all have a common connection through all the interactions and changes that they have experienced, are and will experience together. And therefore, the waves exist as separate waves, but on another level they also exist as a solid whole. As each moment brings another change in one part of the pond, each moment simultaneously leads to a change in the whole pond. Waves exist together as a constantly evolving whole.
I use the pond analogy to say that since parts and parts of life interact and unite, life becomes more complex, on the one hand, because of the exponential increase in the number of connections and the diversity of relations between the parts, but, on the other hand, there is a higher the level of total harmony when you look at the big picture, because all the parts also become more connected with everything. And Life just likes everything to be so, therefore there is a force that applies constant pressure, compiling things to enter into relations with each other and at the same time with a big whole.
Using the example of teaching metronomes, which I mentioned in the last article, you can demonstrate and visualize this force and see in real time how it collects metronomes, seemingly separate objects, in order to enter into harmonious relations with the entire metronome system. The mechanism that brings waves to the pond and metronomes into harmonious relationships is known as a hobby. This entrainment mechanism also works on a microscopic scale between the atoms that make up the molecules that make up everything in the material world, including the cells of your body. But the passion applies to the macroscopic scale, between you and the people in your life, between all living beings and the Planet in which we live, between the Planets and the Sun, etc. And the passion applies to the non-material world, to the level of energy, consciousness and time. The truth is that everything in the universe is composed to connect and enter into relationships with the rest of the hobby. Since the mechanism is a hobby and the effect is universal, it is a fundamental, organizing principle of life, which I would like to call Universal Principles of Hobby.
