We had many students who ask us which colleges are the best engineering and information schools. Using a weighted average of teacher resources, technology grants, class size and student ratings, we developed the following list to help students and parents go through the admission process. This list provides a brief overview of these top technical and technical programs.
(1) California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, California
Cal Tech is a high-tech science college. The school is filled with big professors and has a niche in the California technology industry, including Google and Yahoo. Cal Tech is highly recommended if you are interested in entering the Silicon Valley and are able to invent new technologies. Their student program is one of the best for students interested in individual research projects with professors, and Cal Tech is a key part of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

(2) Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts
MIT is a great school with unique resources for its students. If you are interested in ending with the famous MIT degree and want to be immersed in a quality education every day, then this is a great place. With more Nobel Prizes than could be counted in an hour, they determine excellence in engineering. Their senior graduates, offering a generation of families, are satisfied with their educational choices. MIT probably has the highest worldwide recognition among academics and students.

(3) Cornell University, Ithaca, New York
Cornell is one of the few colleges with engineering research programs that allow students to work directly under well-known professors. With teachers such as Bill Nye (scientific guy) and Stephen Squeers from NASA Mars Rover, you will have the opportunity to learn better. Be prepared to work more at Cornell than most colleges. Cornell’s unique engineering facilities include the newly built Duffield Hall, which is the university’s next high-tech move.

(4) Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA
Founded originally in 1900 by Andrew Carnegie’s Carnegie technique, the school is mainly known for its science and research. Carnegie Mellon runs the Software Development Institute (SEI), a federal-funded research center sponsored by the US Department of Defense and run by Carnegie Mellon University. In addition, they have the Institute of Robotics (RI), a division of the School of Computer Science. In general, his solid reputation among scholars and educational journals is the reason why students should look at this school.

(5) University of Texas, Austin, TX
It is believed that this is one of the "Public Eve" in America, the University of Texas has fantastic resources for its students. As a public university, it spends almost 50 percent of its engineering budget on sponsored research. The Cockrell UT School of Engineering registered 67 new national merit scientists in 2006–2007, which is the largest proportion of universities in new national credit scientists. UT Austin credits third place in the ranking of national scientists for merits. In addition, Texas is a great country with amazing weather and friendly people. Definitely keep UT-Austin in mind when going to college.
