Allenhurst
The Allen family farm was acquired in 1895 and a land area of 0.28 square kilometers, called Allengers, was formed. Allenhurst has become one of the richest cities on the shores of New Jersey. The large Victorian and Tudor houses, as well as the feel of a small town in the area today, make Allenhurst a desirable place to live and visit. The picturesque town has small shops, an award-winning bakery and gourmet restaurants, and the lake offers fishing and canoeing nearby. A popular place in Allenhurst is the beach club. Park Asbury

Atlantic Highlands
The Atlantic Highlands exits where the Atlantic meets the Raritan Bay at Sandy Hook. Avon-by-the-Sea
On March 23, 1900, this beautiful seaside town, located as Avon-by-in, is a great place for swimming and relaxing in the summer sun. Belmar
Originally called Ocean Beach, Belmar was founded in 1872. In 1889, the city was renamed Belmar, which is French for "Beautiful Sea". Today, Belmar is one of the most active cities on the Jersey shore, as it attracts many families and singles during the summer. Belma’s large marina, great fishing and boating, as well as fabulous restaurants make Belmar an ideal place to relax. In mid-summer, the professional tournament in volleyball from July 8 to 10 adds to the attractiveness of this place to relax this summer season.
Bradley Beach
Founded in 1893, Bradley Beach is a playground with a wide choice of entertainment, including a boardwalk and a beautiful beach, mini golf, summer concerts and dances. In this small town is an unusually large variety of restaurants and clubs. In 1679, legend has it that Captain Kidd anchored his ship from what is now Lake Sylvan, and buried his treasure between two trees on today's Brinley Avenue. Today, the year-round population is 5,000 people and grows up to 30,000 people during the summer months.
Briel
Briel was currently founded in 1664, and in the late 1800s Briel became a summer resort when cottages and hotels were built along the Manaskan River. In 1881, a group of investors formed the Briel Land Association. Interestingly, the name Brielle comes from a city in the Netherlands, as the area resembled the founders of the coastal cities of Europe - the North Sea and the English Channel. Lacking the ocean, Briel is well known for many recreational opportunities, including fishing, a nationally detached golf course, and in which many commercial and charter fishing vessels take it.
Deal
The first settled in 1664, the city consisted of only 1.2 square miles. In 1670, a carpenter named Thomas White acquired most of this land and called this area a “bargain” after his homeland Dile, Kent, England. The transaction has practically no commercial real estate, it was renamed into beautiful mansions and magnificent beaches.
Eatontown
Slightly less than 6 square miles, with a population of about 14,000 people, Eatontown is one of the largest cities on the Jersey shore. This long and complicated story began in 1670, when Thomas Eaton, a Quaker, came from Shrewsbury to develop this new land. In 1873, the New Jersey State Legislature named the official Eatontown. Because of its central location, Eatontown became a camp and communications center during the war. The camp was renamed Alfred Vale in honor of the inventor of New Jersey, who helped develop the Morse telegram. Many innovations have been developed on what is now known as Fort Monmouth, including the detection of radar stations and radios. Old Indian trails are a crossroads for modern trips, and the Monmouth shopping center, built in 1959 on a former farm, is the center of the city. The war necessitated the training of a large number of telegraph operators and other liaison officers.
Interlaken
Founded in 1888, Interlaken was originally a 364 acre farm. In 1890, the Interlaken Land Development Company was created, and the planning of the residential community began. Throughout its history, Interlaken remains what it still is today - a quiet residential community of about 400 families. Many of the current homes were built in the early and mid-1900s by artists, painters, sculptors and writers who found an idyllic community between the lakes as the perfect atmosphere for their creative spirits. Interlaken, surrounded by Lake Deal, within walking distance of beaches, local shops and transport, remains an idyllic residential community.
Lake como
First settled in 1693, the area of Lake Como, south of Belmara, was founded in 1924. One of the first settlers was Jeremiah Newman, who began his life as a farmer. When people began to flock to the seaside city, Jeremiah began selling parcels of his farm for $ 1 per acre. Today, Lake Como has a thriving beach that offers a promenade, shops, boating and many restaurants.
Little Silver
It is said that Little Silver got its name after a village in Devonshire England. Built in 1667, the early inhabitants were farmers, fishermen and traders. In 1923, from Shrewsbury, a small silver, today is a residential community, which has river boat trips, public tennis courts, beautiful parks and a post office museum. Historic site - The Parker House, which is over 350 years old.
Lough Arbor Village
Loch Arbor is the only village and small town in Monmouth County. Placing only two blocks in width and five blocks, Thomas White bought land in 1820 from Jacob Corlis. Lough Arbor was registered in 1957 and was previously part of Ocean Township. The border lake "Lake" and "Alenhurst", the name Lough Arbor comes from "Loch", which means "lake" and "gazebo", which means "trees". A short walk from the beach, shops and restaurants, Loch Arbor empitomizes a quaint seaside village.
Long branches
One of the largest cities in Jersey Shore, Long Branch was very glamorous in the early days, as it attracted many wealthy New Yorkers, as well as more famous adventurers such as Diamond Jim Brady and Lily Langtree. Presidents Grant, Hayes, Harrison, McKinley, Wilson and Garfield all summer in Long Branch. In the 1920s, Long Branch declined in popularity due to gambling laws restricting this popular past tense. At present, Long Branch is undergoing a revival, which can be seen along the embankment, where many new buildings have been built, many restaurants and an active nightlife.
Manasquan
Built as a part of Shrewsbury in the late 1600s, the name Manascuan is derived from the Lenny-Lenape Indians "Man-A-Squaw-Khan" (stream of Squaw Island). For centuries, people flew and lived all year round in this small town, where there are shops, a mile-long beach and deep fishing. Note that the Museum of the Historical Society “Scan-Village” is the home of Baile-Reed.
Monmouth beach
As early as 1668, Monmouth Beach was first acquired by Eliakim Wardell. In 1842, the grandson of Wardell Henry sold one of the lots to the Life Saving Service in the US, and in 1865 sold the rest to Arthur V. Conover. Mr. Conover and other investors founded the Monmouth Beach Association in 1871. Houses on the ocean were built, and the community began to flourish. Many of the original 19th century Victorian houses still exist along with new modern facilities, making Monmouth Beach an idyllic seaside resort.
Neptune City
Incorporated in October 1881, Neptune was named after the Roman god of the sea. Over the past decade, Neptune has grown significantly at the local, commercial and technological levels. A prestigious addition is the Jersey Shore Medical Center, which is affiliated with the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Among the main attractions of the city are the Jumping Brook golf course, excellent restaurants, the Shark River Park (in the hills of the Shark River), which has a walking path, barbecue facilities and picnic tables and the historic city of Ocean Grove. Celebrities Jack Nicholson and Danny DeVito spent their childhood years as friends in Neptune.
Ocean Grove
Located in 1869, Ocean Grove is a national historic district. Founded by Bishop Francis Asbury, Ocean Grove (sister to Cape May) has the largest number of Victorian homes in the country and today is still Methodist tradition. The Great Auditorium was built in 1875 and is still the venue for Sunday worship and many concerts during the summer. Tents were the first structures in Ocean Grove, and today 114 tents still provide summer residence for families, many of which originate from the original settlers of Ocean Grove. Beautiful beach, promenade, quaint village, many shops and restaurants make Ocean Grove a truly unforgettable place to stay and visit.
Ocean Town
Ocean Township from Waretown to Brookville is a diverse mix of natural beauty, history, recreational opportunities and a large number of shopping centers, including the Seaview Square shopping center. With approximately 7,400 inhabitants and 21 square miles, Ocean Township is one of the largest municipalities in Monmouth County.
Oceanport
Located between the Red Bank and West Longcranche, Oceanport has a population of about 6,000 people. Oceanport is a peaceful residential community, best known for the Monmouth Park Racetrack. Racing at Monmouth Park began in 1870 and had immediate success. In 1893, he was forced to close due to legislation banning gambling in New Jersey. Amory Haskell of the Red Bank was able to enlist support in 1939 to legalize the “betting” in New Jersey again and the restructuring of the track began. Because of the Second World War, the track was not completed until 1946 and still remains one of the most popular race tracks in the country.
Point pleasant
Like many cities in Jersey Shore, Point Pleasant has a rich history. Quaker settlers arrived in the 1700s, and in the early 1800s, farmers began renting rooms for visitors. In the 1870s, sea captain John Arnold bought land and built the road to the ocean - still known as Arnold Avenue. In 1886 the Point Pleasant area was created. In the late 1920s, the boardwalk was reinforced by Orlo Jenkinson, who built a swimming pool and an entertainment pavilion. Today, Jenkinson is still a place for entertainment. Point Pleasant is a summer terrace with shops, entertainment, live music and many restaurants.
Red Bank
In 1736, the Red Bank was named when it was sold to Joseph Frantsuz. They say that in the case of property was defined as "what goes on the red beach." Originally at Shrewsbury, the Red Bank became a commercial center in the mid-1800s and a port for passengers in New York. Rumson
Bought by English settlers in 1665, this area was known as “Nararnsunk” long before it was officially named Rumson. It is well known that for many historical and grand houses the Tredwell House is the oldest, named after a family that has been here for almost 100 years. The city is bordered by the Navinging River and has access to the ocean and the harbor of New York.
Sea gear
Founded in 1875 and registered in 1917, Sea Girt has a population of approximately 2,148 people and covers 1.05 square miles. Unlike many other communities in Jersey Shore, residents of Marine Girma are predominantly year-round. Known for its elegant houses, Sea Girt has one of the oldest lighthouses in the country. The height of the lighthouse peak of the sea is 60 feet above sea level and was completed in 1896. Do not miss the Steakhouse Stern for pleasure, drinks and good eats!
Shrewsbury
Settled in 1667 by English settlers and included as a district in 1926, Shrewsbury is a residential community covering approximately 2.3 square miles with a population of approximately 3,600 people. At one time, Shrewsbury was the largest settlement in New Jersey, which ran from the Navesink River south to the Small Egg Harbor. Many historic sites are located in Shrewsbury, including: Christ Episcopal Church, Friends Meetinghouse, Allen House and Wardell House. Rose, an exclusive mall, brings people to Shrewsbury from all over Monmouth. Shrewsbury is also home to the Guild of Creativity, which is an important and popular arts center in Monmouth County.
Spring lake
Spring Lake, named after the natural springs that feed on the city’s largest lake, is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful coastal cities in the state. Included in the 1800s, many large, well-kept Victorian mansions were built and still stand today along well-groomed, tree-lined streets. The natural beach and the boardwalk of the Spring Lake attract many visitors. In addition, the famous Bed and Breakfast Spring Lake has a charming shopping center in the center of the city, which has many excellent shops and gourmet restaurants.
Western long branch
In 1908, West Longbranch was formed by a group of residents who decided to separate from Shrewsbury. A permanently residential city, West Longbranch was home to several people with fame, including Murri and Leoni Guggenheim, who ever donated their home, which later became a library for Monmouth University.
