Urinary tract infection and how to cope with it -2

It is estimated that more than 10 million women and 2 million men will visit their doctors this year due to urinary tract infections, and that about 50% of all women will receive at least one UTI during their lifetime.

Causes of UTI

UTI usually begins in the bladder. Bacteria that enter your urinary tract - often E-coli - cause infection.

Women are more at risk of contracting UTIs because of their shorter urethra, which is a shorter way for bacteria to reach the bladder.

When urine remains in the bladder for a long time, the bacteria multiply and the results of UTI.

Pregnant women, women with diabetes, and women who are newly sexually transmitted are more likely to develop UTI.

Urinary catheters often cause UTI in women and men.

Symptoms of UTI

The most common symptom of UTI is a strong urge to urinate, which cannot be delayed.

Nausea and vomiting can also be symptoms of UTI.

Usually, blood appears in the urine at sunset UTI.

Medical treatment for UTI

Your doctor will probably treat your UTI with antibiotics. These drugs usually fix the problem quickly, but they not only destroy the bacteria that cause the UTI, but also destroy the good bacteria in your system that you need for general health. This gives you the opportunity to record UTIs and other infections.

A relatively new substance that is gaining acceptance for the treatment of UTIs is D Mannose (see Resource Block), although many doctors still do not know about it.

It works when attached to bacteria, so they are washed out when you urinate. D Mannose is safe even for diabetics.

Home Treatment for UTI

Before the discovery of antibiotics — and before the pharmaceutical industry and medical facility found that billions of dollars could be earned by issuing them, numerous home remedies were used with good results.

The most common of these was cranberry juice. Other old anti-UTI agents include cherry juice, water from a long slow boil of freshly harvested pods and teas with golden print, lemon grass, chaparral, parsley, Spanish eucalyptus, corn silk, black eye peas and sage.

Foods that are said to help cure urinary problems are beet roots, onions, carrots, asparagus, radicals, and watermelon.

And, of course, if you have a strong constitution and forgiving friends, it is believed that they eat a lot of raw garlic to prevent or cure almost any infection, including UTI.

Surgical treatment of UTI is required.

Regardless of whether you are treating your UTI with antibiotics with a prescription or with any effective home remedy, it is important that you do not allow it to be treated as this can turn into serious problems for your kidneys and other organs.

Your doctor can easily determine if you have a urination infection when analyzing urine if you have developed any of the symptoms noted above.
