I had hemorrhoids when I was 20 years old. Random flashes occur when my stress levels are high and I eat too much junk food and too little fiber. After several days of proper nutrition, drinking plenty of water and showing more, the symptoms disappear.
In May 2009, I moved from my house at the age of 19 to a condominium. I did a lot of repair work, and I love my new place. But even good stress can cause problems. In October, I had a severe outbreak of hemorrhoids. Only this time nothing helped. Finally, I got the ointment and prescription suppositories, and the bleeding stopped and the pain subsided. After a few days it all started again and it got worse.
I did some research on the Internet. There is a lot of good medical information and recommendations. I found one site where helpful but fun tips were uploaded. Check out 001yourtranslationservice.com and follow the links to its natural hemorrhoid treatment page.
I experimented with herbal supplements, took a bath of calico, ate bran, plantain fiber and fruits and vegetables, drank more water and practiced regularly. Everything helped a little, but nothing stopped the pain or cured the condition.
Horrified of the prospect of surgery, refusing to spend hundreds of dollars on so-called miraculous drugs, I delved into the study of subjects such as constipation, intestinal health and digestion. Do you know that:
- Consuming a large amount of fiber relieves constipation, but does not drink enough water.
- Regular use (at the same time daily) allows you to regularly digest and eliminate
- Chewing your food to an almost liquid consistency pleases your intestines, making digestion easier (no longer belching and bloating)
- Enzymes for digesting food are activated when you chew
- Food is digested in the order in which it is eaten.
- Eating easily digestible food begins with the digestive process (start with water or juice, then soup, salad, vegetables, etc.)
- Drinking before meals is good. If you must drink with a meal, then drink warm water with fresh lemon juice.
- Our digestive system must work diligently to digest certain combinations of food - the worst is meat, potatoes, rice, pasta or bread. It is better to eat meat with vegetables, or pasta, potatoes or other starches with vegetables
- Fruits should be eaten separately - at least 1 hour before a meal or two hours after that - it is quickly digested and can interfere with the digestion of other foods.
- Dairy products should be avoided, as they can cause constipation, which aggravates hemorrhoids
- Caffeine, chocolate, alcoholic drinks, fried and processed foods do the same
- Exercise is crucial for good digestion - if your body moves the same way as your digestive system, and everything is fine to walk after eating; actually it helps.
One website provided a key that opened the door for my permanent recovery. On puristat.com, I discovered that their large intestine cleanses the detox diet. This is a very easy to use nutrition plan. The basics are as follows:
1. Eat only fruit before noon. Any kind you want, but only fruit
2. Do not mix starches with proteins while eating
3. Do not eat anything two or three hours before bedtime.
4. Drink half your body weight in ounces daily (for example, 150 pounds of a person will drink 75 ounces or 9-10 glasses), preferably purified water, but green teas, juices and warm water are also good.
That's all. The website also offers 10 digestion tips that are easy to follow and make common sense.
In addition to changing what, how and when I eat, I rely on being more active. I go for 20-30 minutes after lunch. I train three times a week in my condo hall - cardio on an elliptical machine, stretching, free weights, exercises to strengthen the heart muscle and stretching. This is my main routine.
When the weather permits, I take longer walks, exploring the surroundings or walking in a nearby coastal park. I climb the stairs when I can, I go around the office, I get off the bus a couple of stops earlier and go home. Small changes complement the big win.
I lost more than 15 pounds in 3 months, and I removed 3 centimeters from my waist, just losing fat and increasing muscle tone. I am stronger and fit; I look good and I feel great. To quote Billy Crista character from Saturday Night Live, “When you look good, you feel good. And when you feel good, you look great! ”
I am basically a couch. I work full time in the corporate world and do freelance writing and editing. My favorite hobbies are reading and watching movies or television. But if I can do it - change your eating habits, exercise more, drive out hemorrhoidal pain and get ready, strong and sexy - then you can!
